Comment: The Panasonic DMP-BD35K finally brings Blue-ray to an affordable level. It performs as one would expect. The only glitch is the little cover over controls on the right side doesn't close cleanly.
I would recommend this unit to anyone wanting to upgrade to blue-ray at an affordable price.

Summary: My first Blu-ray
Comment: After evaluating many Blu-ray player features and comments of users, I selected the Panasonic unit.
After plowing through the typical poorly written Panasonic manual, I hooked it up easily using the HDMI output and it worked the first time with no surprises. Panasonic designs great electronics, but they need help in the way they present the features and setup menu selections. I find the English to be hard to read and confusing. I suspect that part of the problem is in the translation.
Blu-ray players seem to take a while getting ready to actually play a disk and this unit is no exception. Once it's ready, however, the picture displayed is stunning and everything I expected. The remote is a nice, very functional unit.
